Our staff returned recently from Photo Camp Kenya, where we worked with a group of young Kenyan journalists on telling visual stories of health-related issues, such as HIV and the stigmas associated with the disease. Photographers and teachers on the project included Lynn Johnson, Matt Moyer, Amy Toensing, Jim Webb and Stacy Gold. What a team! They witnessed incredible growth on the part of the photographers during the course of the workshop. See some of their work here:
The training was a partnership with Internews, whose mission is to empower local media worldwide. Past Photo Camp projects with Internews include our camps in Pakistan, Crimea, and Washington D.C.
