Dreaming in Black and White Gala

On the evening of April 20th, Kara Brook and Howard Brown hosted a gala for VisionWorkshops at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore. Supporters gathered and photographers and artists donated beautiful pieces for a silent auction, which was the highlight of the evening. These artists included Steve McCurry, Annie Griffiths, Ed Kashi, Sam Abell, Stephen Crowley, Susana Raab, Lynn Johnson, Jay Dickman, Nanine Hartzenbusch, Melissa Farlow, Matt Moyer, Amy Toensing, Hank Libby, and Dave Harp. Photographers Jay Dickman and Tom McCall set up a studio in the museum and made portraits of all of our guests.

The event was a success, and we raised over $50,000 to support http://www.phpaide.com/forum.php?langue=fr our new Baltimore initiatives! VisionWorkshops will use these funds to develop a sustainable photography workshop series for inner city and refugee youth in Baltimore.
